A cautionary tale...
I came home today to find Will sleeping on the couch in Courtney's lap. I smile and say "What's up with this?" Courtney looks at me (with a scared look) and tells me that Will's dresser fell on top of him. I suddenly feel very sick to my stomach. She proceeds to tell me that she heard a loud crash and went to the bottom of the stairs. She heard him screaming, so she ran up to his room. When she opened the door, she saw just his head sticking out from underneath his dresser. Now this dresser is quite tall and VERY heavy. Courtney said she really had to pull to get it up off of him. Something should have been broken in his very tiny little body, but he is fine. This is the sort of thing that you read about in Parents magazine. I'm just glad that he is alright. I told Dan that he needs to get that dresser anchored to the wall as soon as he gets home tomorrow night! So for all of you out there with kids...anchor their dressers to the wall!!!!!

Big Boy
We changed Will's bed from a toddler bed to a full size bed last week. He was so excited to help out! He kept taking the screws and tools and trying to "fix it". Dan was trying so hard to be patient with him. When we put the mattress on, he wanted to climb up. I told him he had to wait until I put on the sheets. The sheets were Alec's when he was in the bed...Spiderman. Talk about being excited! Will kept calling it his "Spiderman bed". He climbed up and rolled around on it. Then I said, "Time for your pajamas so you can sleep in your new Spiderman bed!" He looks at me and says clear as a bell..."I'm not sleepin in dis bed." Transition can be difficult.
